Okay, pictures that I have downloaded - they are backwards in time: Nanchang from our hotel room. That is the Gan River Hotel room in Guangzhou our first night (Novotel) it was amazing! There is a glass wall between the bathroom and the sleeping area. The bathroom was all done in marble tile. It was beautiful! There is a privacy screen that we could lower if we needed to. The next picture is of the room itself. Then some features around the hotel.
We have been walking around the area - it is slightly scary since there seem to be no real "rules" of the road. There are busses, cars, motorcycles, bikes and pedestrians just doing there own thing. They do stop for the few lights we have seen and they tend to stay in their own lanes (not necessarily their own lane but going in the right direction) However, this is not always so. They generally seem to just go and assume everyone will get out of their way. It is scary to walk because everyone has the same mentality of "me first". We are still alive though!
We have spoken with some wonderful people - Tiffanie of Tiffanie's which is a little shop right by the hotel and I believe her husband (Jack?) have been so helpful. Tiffanie helped us find the bank which was a feat!
We had breakfast today with some of our group, Terry and Lisa, Betsy and Katie, and Cindy all mananged to congregate at the buffet this morning. Brent and I ran into Betsy and Katie at lunch today as well. (Hi to Brian! Because I know you are going to be reading this!)
Special news: Rather than tomorrow for getting the girls they are coming TODAY!!! In about an hour and a half we will see their beautiful faces! Everyone is so excited! Hopefully we will get lots of pictures of the girls (there are 4 of us here with 2 more families on the way)
Hopefully we will do more sightseeing as well. I know Cindy and Betsy want to go to the pavillion that is near our hotel with us. More tomorrow! Keep looking for pictures!
